Corporate events at NRG
On acquiring our venue in Jan'01 we studied the clientele visiting the venue and made an important discovery. Nearly 50% of the clients were bringing work colleagues along as a means to unwind and get to know each other. Without knowing it they were building better relationships by meeting each other in a fun yet competitive scenario such as paintballing, which is away from the work environment.
Obviously it worked because the second major discovery we made was that these company bookings, sometimes organised by the company, sometimes by an individual worker, were returning to the site later in the year for yet another round of paintball. The group size is usually bigger the second time round as people get to hear about the shear fun of the first event and decide to give it a go. Who in their right mind would miss out on this much Fun!
As a result of our investigations we decided to listen more carefully to what corporates need and want from a day with us. The result has been a massive investment in to the infrastructure , game play, site facilities and equipment.
We have also joined the Camelot Events Group in order to take advantage of their superb Team Building expertise. Sometimes a company requires a very serious approach to Teambuilding that breaks down and deals with the group dynamic of company personnel.
